These priorities include combating diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, promoting Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH), and strengthening health systems.
MDH works in partnership with the Tanzanian Ministry of Health, various donor agencies, academic institutions, and local government bodies to deliver effective health programs.
MDH, in collaboration with Dar es Salaam City Council, Temeke, Kinondoni, Kigamboni, and Ubungo Municipal Councils, invites suitable candidates to apply for Logistics Officer positions (10 posts).
Job Title Logistics Officer (10 Posts)

Reports to Facility In-charge
Key Responsibilities
- Collect specimens from health facilities and deliver them to the lab; return test results to the facilities.
- Assist in distributing tools, supplies, and equipment to health facilities as required.
- Drive and operate motorcycles with care, ensuring personal safety and that of others.
- Perform routine motorcycle checks and report maintenance needs in a timely manner.
- Keep records of motorcycle fuel and service costs, ensuring all reports are accurate and submitted on time.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Transport Officer, or Site Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum Secondary School Education with good passes in English and Kiswahili.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
- Valid Driving Certificate from a recognized institution (VETA Certificate is an added advantage).
- A valid class ‘A’ driving license (class ‘B’ is an added advantage).
- At least three (3) years of driving experience in either the public or private sector.
- Ability to ride a motorcycle.
- Trustworthy, honest, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong record-keeping skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
